Full-time Workforce/Education Coordinator
Provide oversight of and support for Youth Shelters Homeless Services Programs and the Civic Justice Corps Program by providing Workforce Development services. Will develop and implement a program providing instruction to out-of-school youth wishing to further their education and obtain a high school diploma or GED and participate and collaborate with community resources to assist youth in realizing their workforce and educational goals. $15.00/hr + generous leave, medical, dental, IRA, FSA. Bachelor Degree in an educational field, preferred and one year relevant experience or equivalent. Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups; knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation. Knowledge of computerized learning components, administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
Resident Assistant
The Youth Emergency Shelter is looking for an exceptional, experienced person to serve youth in-crisis, ages 10-17, as a Resident Assistant. The primary duty of this position is participation in the daily activities of the shelter, providing supervision, outings, life skills and other youth development activities for the young people. This individual will work 32-40 hours/week afternoons, evenings, weekends and an occasional overnight. Seeking a candidate who is creative, reliable, and flexible with a heart for kids. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field with one year relevant experience required. $11.33/ hour + benefits.
Half-time Bilingual Therapist needed for Civic Justice Corps (CJC) Program
Provide professional individual and group counseling for families and clients in a Civic Justice Corps program for adjudicated youth. Will assist in client case planning, coordinating, reviewing, discharge and after-care planning and implementation. Will complete mental health diagnostic evaluations and drug/alcohol assessments; provide crisis intervention and general clinical support; engage in external relations with community collaborators; and complete and submit required reports. Must be independently licensed in the state of NM as a counselor or social worker and have relevant experience with the target population. Require excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work non-traditional work hours to meet client needs. Must have good computer software skills; strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in Spanish and English required. This is a term position for 30 months due to funding. $31,200 annual salary for 20 hours/week.
Relief Resident Assistants
Residential programs seeking experienced individuals to serve as relief Resident Assistants to provide direct care for young people on an “as called” basis. Will work afternoon, evening, overnight and weekend hours providing supervision, outings and activities. Looking for reliable individuals with lots of flexibility. $11.00/ hour (no benefits).
